The old adage that "You get what you pay for" is not always true in the shade industry. As with any new industry, there are companies that take advantage of their customers by charging higher than market prices when the customer is not aware of competitive suppliers, taking short cuts in the production or assembly of the product by ignoring code requirements, and/or promising unrealistic performance with broad warranties that they never intend to honor in the event of a claim.
Good business sense should always prevail if you are considering the purchase of a shade canopy system. A prudent buyer understands his requirements, seeks competitive bids, and recognizes that due diligence up front will pay dividends over the life of the structure.
AmeriShade recommends that potential purchasers always check references, including a physical inspection of the supplier's other installations if possible.
